Brittany Blackman, FNP-BC

Bio:
Brittany Blackman, FNP-BC, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner (FNP), and new to the Metroplex Medical
Centre family. Brittany has been a Registered Nurse for 13 years, specializing in trauma surgery and labor and
delivery. She also had the opportunity of being a travel nurse around the country for 6 years, allowing her to
experience and care for many cultures and communities. Brittany loves serving as an active member of Covenant Church,
reading, quality time with friends and family, scuba diving, movies, and hopes to one day train for a sprint triathlon.
Brittany has 2 Bachelors degrees; a BSN in nursing and a BS in psychology with a sociology minor. Both degrees were
earned at the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor in Belton Texas. During her travels, she decided she wanted to do more, and
went on to earn her MSN degree at Spring Arbor University in Spring Arbor Michigan to become a Nurse Practitioner. She is a
member of the Texas Nurse Association and the American Nurses Association.
Brittany is a board member with International Allied Missions (IAM), who travels annually to Haiti for medical mission
trips. She also regularly participates in other medical and Evangelical mission trips all over the world. Brittany is bilingual in
French and English. She is now specializing in primary care and family practice as an FNP. She cares for the community at our
Plaza Medical Centre and Griego Family Medical Centre.
