Personal:

Dr. Venkat Sethuraman is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, and received his fellowship training in spine surgery from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, one of the most advanced and specialized physician training programs available.

He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry (1994) at Rutgers University, graduating magna cum laude, proceeding to earn his medical degree at the Medical College of Pennsylvania (1998). Dr. Sethuraman completed an internship in General Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where he also completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery.

He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the North American Spine Society, the Mayo Clinic Alumni Association and the Thomas Jefferson Alumni Association.

In his free time, Dr. Sethuraman spends time with his wife and two beautiful daughters, cooking, traveling and attending his daughter's team sports events, which include swimming, soccer and basketball. He is also actively involved in the community giving back to charitable causes including the Lamplighter School in Dallas, The Suzuki Music Institute of Dallas, and the Cattle Barons Ball, which helps fund the fight against cancer.

His goal is to implement the best possible treatment plan for each of his patients so that they can get back to living a healthier, happier life.
